Connect with MCP
Give an assistant a defined set of tools, within your permissions.
MCP is a standard way for an assistant to discover and call tools. It does not give the assistant unrestricted access to your computer or company.
- Ask your administrator for the approved MCP URL and the supported assistant client.
- Add it as a remote MCP connection using Streamable HTTP.
- Complete the app's browser sign-in. Read the permissions before approving.
- Ask the assistant to show your connected account and list available tools.
- Try a read first. For DimerIQ: “List my saved panel runs. Do not start anything.”
- Open one result and check that its ID and evidence agree with the app.
A client may require an administrator to enable custom connectors. Connection screens differ by product and plan. Use the registered client configured for your environment; an arbitrary OAuth client is not automatically trusted.
Two different MCP uses: a documentation MCP can search help pages. A product MCP can access records and run jobs. Reading these docs does not connect the assistant to your scientific data.
Actual ChatGPT acceptance for the new DimerIQ pilot remains a release check until demonstrated. Protocol tests alone do not prove that client works.
